Cat on a Shed Felt Roof

Our cat is somewhere between 15 and 18 years old.  We had her as a rescue cat in 2014 when the cattery suggested she might be about 6 but our suspicion is that she was probably a few years older.  You can see from her rear paw that her claws don't retract and this has been the case for many years.  She also has difficulty jumping up onto chairs and settees, preferring to pull herself up with a little bounce from her back legs to execute the move.

So to see her on the shed roof today only goes to show that there is life in the old girl yet.  I think she probably climbed up the trellis we have in front of the shed to disguise the building, but credit to her all of the same.

Another working day, before badminton this evening which was really enjoyable.  One of the newer club members is a very good quality player, having even played for England seniors in the past.  I must admit we didn't gel as a combination the first time, but I was eager to learn and followed his suggestions on positioning in a subsequent game and it really paid dividends.
