A walk in Nidderdale under blustery skies

Today's walk took us north from Brimham Rocks (main shot) which is a National Trust site. We did a circular route of about 6 miles and back via Smelthouses which is by Fell Beck. This little hamlet got its name in the 15th century when there was a bellows blown lead smelting mill there.
In the 17th century there was a flax mill there, although the industrial relic in the first extra further upstream looks significantly later than this.
