What Do I See

A Day Of Farming

I spent a little bit of time with Oliver on the farm today. It was interesting watching him, he's not been there a lot, but he gets on with stuff in the yard completely self-motivated, but also with knowledge and confidence. He hasn't yet birthed a lamb (to my knowledge) but he's dealt with them, and the pregnant ewes and is caring for them.

He struggles with school being dyslexic and comes up against his teachers all the time, but he listens and learns on the farm. Visual learning is obviously his best way of absorbing this. It's just so nice to see him really happy and focused, and keen to tell you what he's been up to on the farm when he gets home, completely unlike a day of school.

Hi mocks start tomorrow, and I think everyone is counting the days until he can get to college and study agriculture.
