Theatre

We don't go to the theatre nearly often enough but, to celebrate my birthday (which is actually tomorrow), we went into London  to enjoy a light hearted comedy at the Phoenix Theatre: a revival of Michael Frayn's "Noises Off".  It was a very well executed and fun performance of a farce about a travelling theatre group performing a farce - so a double farce!  Lots of slamming doors, confusion and silly fun, but an enjoyable entertainment, preceded by an enjoyable meal at a restaurant in Covent Garden.

The auditorium is quite elaborate like many London theatres:  this one opened in 1930. The central light fitting (blipped) is quite impressive.
