Whitstable: Turnstones Picking Oysters Clean

There's a huge pile of oyster shells on the beach outside the Whitstable Oyster Company, and I spent a long time photographing the starlings and turnstones picking them clean as the sun rose (behind clouds) in the morning... The turnstones were poking about on the beach with some sanderlings when I first went down to the beach, but the turnstones quickly moved on to the oyster pile.
We can home via the Maidstone Museum; Imogen used to volunteer there, so knew that they have a superb Japan gallery...
