A brief interlude outside

Perhaps it's because we spent a long time outside in the sun yesterday. Perhaps it's a reaction to today's grey day with a biting north wind blowing. (Forecast - minus 3, feels like minus 10!) Whatever, we really weren't interested in being outside today.  There was plenty to do indoors but in the late afternoon we shook ourselves a little, wrapped up warm, and walked down to our nearest lake. There we set off across the ice on the snowmobile track but half-way across we decided it was all a bit "Scott of the Antarctic" so we turned back, and once safely home we stayed indoors!!
Some days are just like that.
