Hwyl fawr

Today I had the honour to be with Taffy's family in sharing a big good bye.  It was a simple arrival at the Cremitorium with his Grand Children and older Great Grand Children being Pallbearers. Taffy wanted no hyms or speeches as this was not to his liking just no fuss, it was simple and each of us could remember his life in our own way. What was very pleasant was some thing that was not planned nor rehearsed, one by one the Great Grand Children waked up and placed a hand on Taffy's Coffin and said Hwyl Fawr without saying a word and the rest of us follows suit.  We did have a celebration of Taffy's life at Morgan's Man Cave, where we talked, laughed and cried. Carol  spoke of her Late Father of his love for his Late Wife and Family, he was very proud of all his Family.  I spoke about the Late Doris how she kept the Traffic dept's fuding build up, Doris had a heavy foot lol. Taffy had an old Holden called the green arrow, he loved taking all the kids to the beach in it, I saw him going back one afternoon, there were togs and towels hanging off the car and kids heads out of the windows laughing and encouraging Taid to go faster. I will never forget my visit 4 weeks ago, he said to me well it's time to go, we stood up he shook my hand and said thank you. Jack with his three sons remembering good times.
