A Visit to Rural Life Museum, Glastonbury

A planned visit to a dear friend at Street with a fascinating visit to the Rural Life Museum at Glastonbury, made today really special. We spent several hours there - we hadn’t visited since before the Pandemic and it’s been really improved since then . Lots of oral history videos as well as quirky artefacts . I was particularly taken with Mick Aston’s jumper from Time Team ( unfortunately only on display temporarily) .

I liked the organisation of the shoe maker’s tool - if only our garage was as well organised !

My friend gave me some pretty cowslips to plant in my garden from Burrow Farm Gardens in Devon as well as treating me to an early birthday lunch at the museum.
