Celebrations

Hah - bet you thought I was still going on about the Coronation! Well, no. It’s about 4 months since Himself’s birthday, but today was the day earmarked by son #2 to redeem his present of a chauffeur son- driven trip to Edinburgh, just for one night, staying in the Malmaison in Leith and going out to dinner with the family in Chaophraya in Central Edinburgh. So, after a normal church attendance in the morning, Ewan turned up, accepted a coffee, and whirled us off to Leith and our hotel.

Dinner was such fun, from the hilarity of our granddaughters through the smoking cocktails to the great food and totally OTT puddings, And during the meal, on the gallery of Chaophraya looking out over the sunlit roofs , we were dramatically enveloped in haar, into which we cavorted to await an Uber.

So that’s my collage of the evening.

It was wonderful.
