Alfresco lunch

A busy and most enjoyable day.

Meeting about a possible involvement with an exciting Scottish festival first thing. Hope I can get involved with that. Then back home via Stockbridge where I bought bread, mackerel and strawberries and dear daughter put together a lunch for our friend Graham, the Event Manager for the Crail Food Festival.

Graham and I were on our way to meet Paul Wedgwood at Wedgwood The Restaurant in the Royal Mile to discuss his involvement with our Harbour Day this year. He's so excited about being able to cook at Crail Harbour. He's going to be rustling up dishes including ingredients from a foraging walk which is being led by Mark Williams from Galloway Wild Foods - being brought to Crail by Fife Diet. It's all coming together well.

Also a contact regarding a new Food Festival event which is being developed in the Borders which I'm hoping to be able to work with.

Busy busy day. Glad to have managed lunch in the garden somewhere in the middle of it all.
