A quick moment of maintenance for 42's evil twin 31. In the rain too. I was nice and warm taking pictures from the bridge as we were moving between worksites.

This is the front view of a Lynx, the two camera eyes and lights visible on the front. The 'pointy bit' is the probe used to assess the of the various bits of metal underwater, it also doubles as a measuring tool for the marine life that attaches itself to the bottom of rigs by way of addition of highly technical bands of different coloured insulation tape...

Above the 'Lynx' bit is the acoustic positioning beacon, so the pilot knows where the vehicle is (not wholly reliable that one...) and the other side is the scanning sonar for finding the way in murky water.
