Have house.... will travel

The Ceilidh Club had an outing to St. Andrews today.  We arrived at 12 noon had free time until four o'clock when we were having a high tea.

We headed for the Botanic Gardens, a well kept secret of St. Andrews, it really is a magical place, beautifully laid out, complete with pond and glasshouses.  There was a group of water colour painters who were all doing their own thing among the flowers.  These botanical gardens are under threat of closing, due to cutbacks, and I really hope that a way can be found to keep them open as they are a great attribute to St. Andrews.

I thought I would be blipping one of the many lovely plants and flowers that I captured, but I came across this lovely wee snail (well his wee shell is beautiful) and thought I would blip this instead!  Must be nice to always have your home right there beside you!  Looks pretty good large....

We walked around the town for a bit, and then headed to the St. Andrews Bowling Club for high tea, and a wee dance before heading home.

It was dull and threatening rain when we arrived but it cleared into a lovely sunny day.  We were very lucky.  Hope you all were!
