Monument to the summer

This is William Drummond's Star Pyramid in Stirling. It was built in 1863 and he dedicated it to all those who suffered martyrdom in the cause of civil and religious liberty in Scotland.

Although I live just half an hour away in Perth, I hardly know Stirling at all. I spent the hottest day of the year so far starting to correct that.
