Time Stands Still

This is Haworth Parish Church clock. The tower was built and the clock installed in 1871 and has been going ever since with the help of a weekly wind.
In February 2013 the church insurers declared the step ladder and the winding platform were unsafe and until £1,000 of safety work is carried out the clock cannot be wound.
The time in Haworth is now frozen at 5.20 - thanks to a crazy Elf''n'Safety ruling by the insurers. The man who has been winding this clock every week for the last 23 years says the ban is 'absolutely barmy' - I agree with him :-)
