I do like to be beside..........

I had a day off today. So Bella came over with a picnic, enough clothes to dress a battalion of little girls, her two dollies and we set off to find a beach.

Unfortunately she had forgotten to pack her bucket and spade

Now beaches are not really the problem, we have quite a few near us but finding a bucket and spade was easier said than done, but never daunted we eventually ended up in that jewel of a Victorian seaside resort North Berwick..

What a surprise. We loved it. Beaches, fish and chips, harbour, cafes, sailing and just natural charm. I would like to live there.

Anyway, we spent a lovely afternoon making sand pies and avoiding jelly fish.........but it was freezing!



...and the hot news, Bella can now recite.

'Not last night but the night before,
Three wee monkeys came to my door,
One with a fiddle,
One with a drum,
and one with a pancake stuck to it's bum.'

Three wee Bellas!

Now I wonder where she learned to say that!
