Taking a Drink

I had very little time to think about taking a photo for Blip today. I grabbed this one in the morning before taking off for Studio UFO and open studio painting with all my buddies and our teacher Trish Harding. Today everybody was there and we were packed in. I was a bit tired from all that has been going on lately, but as usual, the moment I got there, the tiredness lifted and I had a great time with my painting buddies. What wonderful gals they all are. (There are guys too but at the moment they all come on Thursdays instead of Wednesdays.) I worked some more on the painting I blipped last week. Still a bit more to go.

Not much time when I got home before it was time to prepare dinner and get dressed up for tonight's concert. Pepe Romero was playing a couple of pieces by his father Celedonio Romero. We got to WWU in time to listen to Grant Donellen give the pre concert talk. He did a great job as usual.

The concert was great. It began with a symphony that Bizet wrote when he was 17, a mature work that was hard to imagine was written by a teenager. Then the two works by Celedonio Romera. Pepe was fantastic as always. The concert ended with Pulcinella by Stravinsky. It was a fantastic concert. Only two more to go before the 20th annual Bellingham Festival of Music will be over. It always goes so fast.

It is very late so I will soon be going to sleep and won't have much time for commenting tonight. Have a great evening and day.
