Sgwarnog: In the Field

Lowly Cattle Shed

On a day in which I encountered much of beauty, including deer, kingfishers and butterflies, I offer you a less obviously photogenic abandoned cattle shed.

I had an hour to explore a bit of Cottingley before another session of mindful CBT, and found a promising looking track heading out up the valley. The deer were the first things I encountered, followed shortly after by this shed at the side of the track.

Cottingley is of course famous for its fairies, but the only evidence I found for fairy folk was this.

Later, I headed up river, then the canal to Five Rise Locks, pausing to (successfully) hunt for ghost signs and plaques in Bingley. A wander round the Bingley North Bog SSSI rounded the day off.
