The quarry

Took a trip today to this lake which was, until 1984, a quartz quarry. There are still a few architectural remains dotted about the site but it has mostly just been left to allow nature to reclaim it. The water is chrystal clear and icy cold. 
A new Pope was elected today, Rather spookily I am reading a novel (in a genre that I would never have previously considered) and tonight the first line of the new chapter was....'I remember it well, It was the day the Pope was elected'
I love coincidences like that
