A Winter Wonderland . . .

……………………… this morning. Amazing hoar frost.

It was my friend’s funeral this afternoon. It was the most encouraging and friendly funeral I’ve ever been to. There were friends from all parts and activities of New Zealand, in particular flyfishing (he was a guide with international connections), the Department of Conservation - DOC - with whom he worked for years. But his most loved activity, apart from his dearly treasured wife, was his love of his God and the blessings that came from being involved in his church congregation. He most definitely was not at all religious, and had a well developed wicked sense of humour. It was a treat listening to the eulogies.
