Yay friends

I exercised. I hung out with friends and napped and watched an old, dumb, but sweet and easy movie and ate. I invited people to a meeting that I am hoping will lead to people having work with my company. 

A good day, yes? 

Hungary’s leader, Orbán, has been an enemy of Ukraine’s throughout the war. They are fighting Ukraine accession to the EU. I’ll just throw out there that Orban banned the Pride parade in Hungary this year. Yes, banned it. And suggested there would be legal consequences for those who showed up. The mayor of Budapest responded by making it a city celebration int stead of a national one and participated. 

“ To prevent Mr. Orban’s government from derailing this year’s Pride parade, an annual fixture since 1995, Budapest’s liberal mayor, Gergely Karacsony, recast it as a municipal event celebrating Hungary’s recovery of full freedom when Soviet troops pulled out in June 1991. He allowed it to go ahead, renamed as Budapest Pride Freedom.”


Usually a few thousand people come and the event is low key. This year it became and anti-Orban protest with estimates as high as 100,000.
