INDIA DAY 12 …

travelling…
We left Udupi at 4:30am and drove for an hour to Mangalore airport. Our flight was at 7:30..simple check in and on the flight to Bangalore on time.
We arrived an hour later…collected our luggage and changed terminal and then had a 5 hour stopover.
#the airport is amazing…so beautiful, calm and very clean with lots of staff on hand to help. No one is allowed in the airport terminal without a boarding pass. We had to wait an hour to check in our luggage then
I suggested to O we book into the lounge area. He said no as online it said it was the equivalent to £100 each…it was in fact £33:50!!
#decorative trees
# wooden tree caves and
# palm tree lined bridges made it the most interesting lounge I’ve been in.
We had breakfast, lunch, snacks and a shower!!!
### oh and I made use of the cocktail bar!!! (Not all alcoholic!)
Our flight was delayed by another 2 hours so it turned out to be the best £33:50 I’d spent.
After a 10 hour flight we arrived in the UK
about 10:30…(3 am) by our body clock. By the time we had collected our luggage and driven home it was 26 hours travelling!!!

We were very grateful to The Rev for collecting us especially as he is off sick with doctors orders to rest with a burst Baker’s cyst. He is in quite a bit of pain but is not a great rester!!!
