Watching TV

I refuse to fill Sky’s coffers, so the only Grand Prix I can watch live each year is the British GP. And not just the race - qualifying and all the free practice sessions as well. A rare treat, although prior commitments mean that FP2 and the actual race are the only ones I can actually watch the action as it happens. The others I will record and watch as soon as I can. Nothing else I could do this afternoon anyway, as we certainly don’t have the sunshine and blue skies of Silverstone. Cold winds, grey skies and torrential rain is the order of the day here.
Before the rains arrived, I did have a very pleasant catch up over a cup of coffee, with a friend from New Zealand who is visiting the U.K. for a few weeks. Unfortunately for her, it looks like Lake District summer weather is currently the same as the New Zealand winter weather she thought she’d left behind!
