... isn't as grim as I have made it out to be in today's blip.  But it was raining, and I thought about how the town was back in Joy Division days - not that I remember it from quite that far back, but a lot of now-semi-gentrified northern towns and cities were still pretty grim in the late 80s when I started listening to that sort of music.
