A bit of a family heirloom on E's side, from a time when wives were named only as appendages to their husband (the "J. B." here). No idea of the context here, except it's likely to be Methodist Church related as JB seems to have been a rather senior figure in that church.
The item itself is one of those things that gets passed down but no-one actually wants a silver-plated unstable cupcake carrier that has no monetary value, or historic value outside of the family, so it gets moved from shelf to loft to loft to shelf, with shelf to loft happening today.
