An early walk in Sutton Park this morning.

Up early once again to manage to have a walk before the heat built up to its predicted 30C.
It had been sad to hear about a young 16 year old who drowned in one of the large pools in Sutton Park on Thursday evening.
It is so tempting in hot weather to swim there.
Devastating for his family and friends.
We were there by 9:45am and I used a Leki pole today instead of a crutch, just to see how I got on.
I was quite tired having not had much sleep due to the heat..There is more of a breeze today.
Watched the Men’s Doubles Final after lunch.
It was gripping and went to the wire.
The first British win since 1936!
Quote:
“Queen's Club and Eastbourne champions Cash and Glasspool became the first all-British pairing to win the All England Club trophy since 1936, when Pat Hughes and Raymond Tuckey defeated their compatriots Charles Hare and Frank Wilde in the final”

I’ve just been looking at your Blips. And at the moment I’m in the summerhouse looking out at an overarching absolutely clear blue sky, which makes a lovely background to the Rowan tree berries in the garden next door, which now are bright orange and beginning to turn red.
Loads of bees buzzing in the Lavender, and the Thyme. The latter has seeded itself from somewhere and taken up residence in the garden.
I had very little sleep last night due to the heat, even though I just folded back the duvet and lay covered in my summer dressing gown. I always have water by the bedside to drink when needed.
At the moment, here in my armchair, the velvet breeze is wafting over me and is very pleasant.
Making me feel sleepy……..maybe I’ll close my eyes for a little while.
Stephen is busy planning something for our eldest grandson when we have him and his sister here, on Monday. I already have something for his sister, as they missed coming two weeks ago..
