The Promise of a New Day

Hmmm... I got up at 4.30 for this! It takes me about 45 mins to get my brain in gear - gotta have that cup of tea - then off to the lake. Sunrise is officially at 5.30, but it pokes over out horizon about 10 minutes later. A few minutes of glory then everything transforms into ordinary again. I'm always surprised by how many people are out - fishermen, dog walkers, golf course crew - I suppose I don't own the sunrise, but sometimes I wish I did.

Yardwork today. When did all those weeds sprout?
