The final fling

We’ve had a busy but tiring day especially as it was so hot and we didn’t sleep well.
#3 daughter and children stayed overnight so it was late to bed for all of us.

#2 daughter brought the boys up for the ceilidh this morning. All three boys were rather below par due to tiredness from busy school and sports activities. I think the heat is getting to us all.

However once they got into the dancing they all had fun and the daughters and I caught up with a few old friends. I was sorry I couldn’t join in the dancing but had fun taking some photos which was hard as I didn’t want to get in the way.

We sat outside in the shade for our picnic lunch but in the end had to come in. Later we had the cake I’d made for #1 daughter’s birthday. When she was 4 or 5 Ella asked if we could have cake on Victoria’s birthday so we try to do that as near the day as we can. It’s not easy.

Mr C has started the horrible medication in readiness for his procedures tomorrow. It’ll be a grim night for him.
