Blair "Paddy" Mayne

Another hot day and too uncomfortable to go for a long walk.  So I did something that I have been intending to do for some time.  I have photographed wall murals depicting Blair ‘Paddy’ Mayne, and taken his statue but I have never visited his grave, until this afternoon.

Parliament has recently been petitioned to posthumously award him the Victoria Cross.  During WW2 he was recommended for a VC but it never happened.  I do hope the wrong will be put right.
