Woven and Unravelling
Messy life. Half-finished projects; hasty decisions with lasting clutter; aspiration not quite met by execution; lingering mementos; objects with love attached; indecisive space management; conflicting wishes; sentimentality; a weakness for procrastination
Some people manage not to live this way. Their home, their workspace, seemingly their life, structured, organised, catalogued, uncluttered, perfectly placed, always prepared. I genuinely admire that ability, though I've found that living in that kind of space makes me uneasy. I'm sure the converse is true
The picture is really to show the baskets; the background noise is incidental, but maybe it's one of blip's charms. The one on the right is the celebratory, artisan-made laundry-basket that has now done its first day's work. The one on the left was made by MrsM as a first-time effort in a willow-weaving class a couple of weeks ago in Carmarthenshire - its style is 'Polish asymmetric'. I don't think it's overshadowed, and they both stand up for calm order amid busy chaos
