Baggin da Laxdale Paets

A beautiful sunny morning, clouded over with sunny spells, then cleared into a beautiful sunny evening.  Windy first thing, but mostly flat calm.  Another day in the mid 20s degrees.

A day working on the toon essykert with Philip and Dan.  More black bag waste around Lerwick.  The clouds were welcomed, a break from the sun was needed.  Mowed the lawn after work, and a much needed watering.  Been down to mam's this evening.  Last walkies with Sammy before bed.

Me and mam headed to the peat hill to make a start on bagging the peats.  They've completely dried, ready to take home as soon as.  We worked away for a while, but we were beaten by the midgies, horrid things that ruin a good summer's day.  Right next door to us, Aunt Joan and Uncle John were busy bagging their peats too.  Shame we weren't prepared, a cuppa in the hill with them would have been perfect.  Aunt Joan and Uncle John working in the North Peat Hill, Cunningsburgh.
