Footbridge
Fresh early morning dog walk. It's so pleasant to feel cool when walking.
Took some items to charity shops. Another bag to go but couldn't fit it on my bike. Tomorrow.
The footbridge is on my way to the street with many charity shops. Midsummer Common is at one end of the footbridge - extra. The common is looking dry at present. The grass will bounce back in the autumn.
Carried on to the market. Bought some delicious purple Herman plums last week. Today there was a variety new to me, purple, small about cherry size, yellow flesh and sweet not cloying, very pleasant. I've forgotten the name and cannot find it online. I love summer's juicy stone fruit: apricots, damsons, greengages, nectarines, peaches, plums. It's sad to return in autumn to apples and pears.
Kyro got scratched by a ginger cat in the garden. Luckily it's a minor one which I've bathed with salty water. He will not leave cats on his territory alone despite being on his lead,
but can completely ignore cats on our walks. Later he was more wise when spotting a black cat in the garden and left it alone.
Later taking Kyro out before his bedtime a young fox with a skinny white-tipped tail crossed in front of us.
Turning warmer tomorrow. I've enjoyed today's fresh weather which allows me to get more done.
Pleasant evening everyone.
