Relaxing in the motorhome

We had a gentle start to the day before taking the motorhome for its first annual habitation check. While this was happening Nick, Bertie and I caught a bus into the town of Livingston and then walked to Livingston Village for a coffee. The whole outing was a strange yet surprisingly good experience. Being a new town designed and built in the 1960s and 70s it is very different to a town which has evolved over a long period of time. It has a mesmerising road network with lots of roundabouts and, as you drive along, most of the housing estates are hidden from view by mature trees and shrubs. Once off the bus, walking was easy along footpaths and underpasses without having to negotiate busy roads. It all felt rather strange and “other worldly”.
