Wound up in Wexford

Sweet peas

I spent the morning tackling some more of the garden wilderness.  Deadheading and cutting back some of the plants in the corner bed to give the summer bulbs more room.  The gladioli are not doing so well this year, but the liatris are doing better.

I then spent some time clearing large bracken fronds from the ditch, and was pleased to see that one of the greater mullein plants has now produced a flower spike.

W turned the hose on to add water to the pond - it was looking quite depleted.  Our water comes from our own well, and is completely untreated, so won't upset the pond at all, and costs only the small amount of electricity needed to run the pump.

In the afternoon, it rained.  And I took a short trip to Adamstown to pick up medication.

In the evening, band practice.  Lots of gaps, many people on holiday, but good to get back to making music.
