Hospital

Up at 4.15 for a 5 am start to the journey to hospital.  Listening to the shipping forecast and Farming Today on the radio as we travel without traffic on the M25. Arriving early, we wait patiently in the carpark before greeting the receptionist. In the ward there is a lot of paperwork to be completed and some stress over blood results not being ready.  Both the anesthetist and consultant visit - very reasuring.  Then very soon and it is time for the op. Leaving the hospital on my own feels strange. Travelling home Woman's Hour keeps me company. Then M25 delays. Lunch time before home. Too late for the MAC visit to Beeleigh. 

Waiting for news, thankful for mobile communication. All done. At last. The beginning of the end. Able to relax.

An evening call with Cno1. Plans for wedding dress shopping.  A compromise needed ... which I am glad about.
