Using up the courgettes
I made this tasty salad for lunch - it’s so simple - raw courgettes, a pear, toasted pine nuts, olive oil and lemon juice with a dusting of sumac. Really refreshing in the heat - and tasty and healthy too.
Another bad night with the knee/leg. I had a mile walk along the road but it felt like I was being hit on the kneecap with a hammer. And the tendon/hamstring bit is not nearly as sore so the whole thing is a mystery.
Gill called for a couple of hours. It was so good to see her as it’s been ages. We had lots of chat - education, politics, holidays, book festivals, misogyny, Masterchef, the Salt Path writer, A1, Gaza, bullies (Trump, Netanyahu, Putin), climate crisis, gardens.
Ailie and I hatched a plan to go to the coast tomorrow and have a swim.
