Le Vieux-Bassin in the afternoon sun

Today we drove along the coast in Normandy, roughly from Graye-sur-Mer and all the way to Honfleur. Beautiful villages and surroundings all around. We stopped for lunch and a stroll through the town in Cabourg (looks like the best place to be if you like to spend time at the beach) and had a great afternoon and then dinner in sunny Honfleur. 
Also: By coincidence we heard someone speak Icelandic in Honfleur and started to look around to see who it might be (we haven't heard Icelandic spoken around us since we left home)? To our surprise it was a friend of our son Dagur and his girlfriend!! Of course we had to stop and chat and then go meet his parents and sister (who is a friend of our younger son Kári....and incidentally it's his birthday today!) and the whole family.
We were close neighbours while my husband was at university just over 30 years ago - great to see them!
