Red Squirrel ( Sciurus vulgaris )

I spent the afternoon and early evening with Kanyl.  As usual taking shots of flowers he has that we don't.  So after I got home we were sitting watching Gardeners' World an I glanced out of the window at the bird table.

There was a little red face peeping over the roof at me.  So clickychick quietly got up and started taking shots of him (it was a him) after he had leapt across on to the feeders.  He spent a long time hanging in various poses on the peanut feeder.  Finally I decided there might be time for me to change lenses and take some shots.

By the time I was ready he had moved down on to the lower feeding tray, where I had deliberately left a few hazelnuts.  Of the many shots I took I liked this pose just before he left.
