County Wexford

Left Dublin at lunchtime and took the scenic route to where I am staying tonight.

At Enniscorthy took a turn off the carriageway to visit picturesque Blackwater; swim at Ballinesker (extra shows my picnic stove grub), and lastly visit the Wildfowl Reserve

and generally eased into holiday mode effortlessly.

Main blip is where I am staying (and second extra). It’s just gorgeous. I could stay here for a week and completely switch off from the outside world.

But up early in the morning (I’ll explain why tomorrow).

I have a lovely room; luxurious bathroom and big tv. And as a massive bonus The Big Lebowski is on TG4 at 10. But I imagine I will be asleep by then as I had my first swim in Bray at 7.30am and have driven a lot today.

The weather is patchy and we need a nice morning tomorrow.
