Diary of an Edinburgher

Trondheim

JR went to the gym this morning! We docked in Trondheim, but it was a miserable day, not conducive to strolling about. And actually, it was quite far to walk to the town, so we didn't bother. We've been there on two occasions before, anyway.

Instead, we had a much better idea. We went for a jacuzzi and a sauna! Not many people left on board to use them.

The day passed by with reading, coffee drinking (we have a machine in our room - sorry - suite) and lunching. And a bit of snoozing.

We went to a talk about what's coming up tomorrow. A BIG day, because we cross the Arctic Circle! And there is some sort of ceremony. Involving ice, I believe...

Actually there is a LOT on tomorrow, and we can get off for a wander in the Lofoten Islands - I've wanted to visit them for absolutely ages. And we go to Bodo, where last time we visited a very interesting flight museum.

This evening we've hit some very rough seas, because we're out in the open. The poor wait staff, who must be quite used to it, did very well to not drop anything. We sat next to a couple of English folk from Leeds, so that was nice.

As we went to leave there was a big wobble, and I nearly sat backwards into a poor chap's lap on the way out.

Archie had a nice day out with Amanda and John, and he sent us a photo. Vicki is having quite a nice time too, with some decent weather after the storm.
