On the loch of cattle thieves

Our Chinese visitors expressed an interest in seeing a Scottish loch. Fortuantley we are not far from Loch Katrine, the source of Glasgow's water supply.

So we boarded the Sir Walter Scott steamer for an hour's cruise.

They wanted to know the origin of Katrine. We didn't know so we googled it and discovered that Loch Katrine comes from the Gaelic " loch of cattle thieves."
