Fallen officer ceremony - 2009

This was my first year to attended, and though I took several pictures that I loved, this was my favorite. It was a very emtional time, between the trumpet playing in the distantce, the rifles being shot and doves being released as they read the names of those who lost their life trying to protect someone else's. Really makes you stop and feel proud of your country, your heritage and appreciate what those in public service do to ensure it continues.
