Pictorial blethers

Fair waved ...

..not quite the golden corn of one of my favourite hymns* (Actually it's the tune I like - Selma, a traditional tune from the Isle of Arran) but this wonderfully spiky grass on the shore at Toward. It's not rained for a week now, and the grass is pale gold - great clumps of it under the grey sky beside a grey sea today. It is this particular shade of gold that I wanted to have on my study walls - theoretically to contrast with the blue sky and sea outside (ha!) but failed to replicate accurately.

*Fair waved the golden corn/in Israel's pleasant land - a harvest hymn, so only sung once a year. I think I prefer the alternative hymn I wrote to be sung to Selma.
