Mrs monochrome was away round to one of her friend's house for lunch & a catch up today, so I was left to sort some stuff out in the spare room and make a start on ripping the three storage boxes worth of CDs we have. On the way to pick her up afterwards, I thought I'd get some photos of this old entrance-way. I've passed it loads of times before (as it is situated on the way to where Debbie's parents live), and have always thought it strange that such a grand gate has fallen out of use and become so derelict, especially considering that a the gravel road to the right of the gate is what's now used to gain access to the estate.
