Viva Mandela

I was exactly where I needed to be this evening - the vigil rally to mark the passing of Nelson Mandela in Glasgow*. I needed to be with people who understood exactly how much he meant to me and who I am. (Take a look at my Blip from yesterday for an explanation).

We sang. We danced. We cried. We vowed to continue the long walk to freedom in his name.

Viva Mandela. Viva!





*Held of course in Nelson Mandela Place - renamed as part of the anti-apartheid campaign in the 80s when the South African Consulate was located there - so they would have to have his name in their address in Scotland. Social action can take many forms :)
