Dressage and Jumping

It's the village's Festa de l'Oli (literally feast of the olive) and one of the activities was a display of dressage and jumping, scheduled to begin at 10am this morning. We strolled down the road at about 10.30am and watched for a while, but it was obvious that nothing was going to happen for at least another hour... or maybe two. Horses were still arriving, the jumps were only just being unloaded, the bbq was still being fanned alight (ready for wild boar steaks) and we were getting very cold.

I like this photo, with a friend strolling through the centre, a crowd of children around a donkey that you can't see, and with the village Nurse's overweight Labrador wagging his tail and ready for anything.

There's another picture here.
