Goldfinch

Basil and I just can't keep away from the hide at Calke Abbey. Fortunately, the sun came out for a while and the birds posed dutifully on the surrounding twigs and branches. Loads of goldfinches, almost as common as sparrows used to be. Did espy a nuthatch
