Bruv and Sis

What a full on day it's been.

Distracted by the funeral on TV this morning when we should've been hitting the shops for our annual heads-down-and-go-for-it Christmas blitz, we eventually made it in to the town a little bit later than planned. Easy-peasy it was too, didn't have that sense of panic that's normally around at this time and there didn't seem to be the same mad crowds grabbing and poking and shoving that we've experienced in the past. Even managed to do some emergency training shoe shopping for big Hobbit Hooves up there (now 2 shoe sizes past me, can't keep his toes from bursting through them). Nice to see a local artists group's pop-up shop busy in amongst all the multi-nationals too, with some nice bits and pieces in there to tempt...

Treated the helper elves to some pizza before heading back to the war zone that was the emptying of the Christmas decoration boxes. Tree was erected, lights all worked, various other festive stuff was flung up and around the place, everyone started to get crabbit so we called it a day and set up for a bit of a photo shoot to put together some photos of this pair to frame up for their Gran. It was like juggling eels, with Hez getting ever so slightly narky with her wee bruv, but it was a great laugh too.

What a brill day it's been.
