'Bills Music Room & A Ride'

It was such a beautiful day today that we decided to take both of the kids on a bike ride. We packed the bikes into the cars and drove down to the netball courts in Diamond Creek to start along the bike path as the roads (in particular our street) would have been way to steep for Bella to ride down on her little bike.

We ended up riding along the Diamond Creek track into Eltham North and ended up at our friends Bill & Meg's for what we thought would be a quick freshen up and a drink. Ended up staying for about 3 hours.

Firstly watched the Aussies clean up the Poms in the cricket once again, with a cup of tea. Then Bill showed me his new toys from Christmas, a really fancy desk vice that comes with all sorts of attachments and secondly his new BOSS Loop Station which we played around with for quite a while. You can basically record loops in real time and then play along with them as a backing track being able to turn on and off the tracks with the foot pedals. We had it set up on a music stand here as we were learning how it worked, Bill playing the various parts on his Strat, while I pushed the buttons to create the loops, then I added some hand claps and improvised percussion. The sound quality is fantastic. I can see a lot more time being spent around there.

Rode our bikes back to Diamond Creek, loaded them into the cars and then went for dinner in our favourite Thai restaurant before finally heading home.

A really fun day for all until the kids bedtime. Let's just say that they were both very overtired from such a big days riding.
