The Lozarithm Lens

Smokey 1306 hr

Smokey to the rescue once again, as I had been into town in the morning and returned without taking any pictures in the uninspiring grey light that passes for daytime. He was wisely curled up on my battered study chair. Taken in natural daylight.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Al Stewart - Room of Roots (1970)
I remember hearing Al Stewart perform this on John Peel's late night Radio Three Night Ride programme, circa 1969-1970. He explained that it was inspired by Mervyn Peake's Gormenghast trilogy. Musically, one can hear the influence of Davey Graham, Bert Jansch, John Renbourn, Martin Carthy and other master guitarists from the folk scene of the time. This is from his album Zero She Flies.
