The Edge of the Wold

Bay abstract

The view into Morecambe Bay from Jack Scout this afternoon, the sun had just dropped into the cloud on the western horizon. Here, a spring emerges from the base of the limestone and meanders into the mudflats, cutting a channel that is always shifting. To get an idea of scale, there is a small flock of redshanks feeding just above the left-hand elbow of the creek.

We took Gus for a walk here in one of his favourite places, and he was jubilant to be back close to the Bay. We took the frisbee, and now it seems he was too enthusiastic in his pursuit of it. This evening he was in considerable pain, we think the result of a pulled muscle in his back. He is a bit more comfortable as I write thanks to some Wifie therapy. Let's hope he is back on form tomorrow.

I posted a Gus backblip earlier today.
